Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Aligned Tech (“Aligned Tech”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through www.aligned-tech.com and its landing pages (the “Website”), and through our chat-core.com WhatsApp messaging service, which has its own section below. Apart from chat-core, it does not cover data we process on behalf of our clients under a service agreement; that processing is governed by the agreement with each client.

Who we are

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: your first and last name, email address, company, the service you’re interested in, your message, and any file you choose to attach.
• Career applications: the same details, plus the position you’re applying for and your CV or any other document you attach.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you share with us when you contact us directly.
• AI assistant: on pages that include our AI chat assistant, the messages you type or speak, and any contact details you choose to leave so we can follow up.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how the Website is used: pages viewed, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and actions such as submitting a form or tapping a phone or WhatsApp link. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
• Server logs: like most websites, our hosting providers record technical data such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request, for security and troubleshooting.
• Preferences: if you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
• To review career applications and contact candidates.
• To run the AI assistant and pass any requested follow-up to our team.
• To measure and improve the Website’s content and performance.
• To keep the Website secure and prevent abuse.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Service providers we share it with

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the Website, and only as much as they need to do that:

• Google: Google Analytics, and the Google Maps embed on our contact page.
• OpenAI: generates the AI assistant’s replies and spoken responses.
• Deepgram: converts speech to text when you use the assistant’s voice mode.
• Hosting providers: host the Website and process form submissions.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

WhatsApp messaging service (chat-core.com)

Aligned Tech operates chat-core.com, a customer support platform that lets businesses receive and reply to WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.

Our role

When you message a business that uses chat-core, we process your data on behalf of that business, and only to provide the service to them.

What we process

• Your WhatsApp phone number and profile name.
• The content of your messages, including text, images, voice notes, videos, documents and locations.
• Message metadata, such as timestamps and delivery and read status.
• Replies sent to you by the business’s agents.

We do not access your WhatsApp contacts or any of your other conversations.

How we use it

• To deliver your messages to the business and its replies to you.
• To show the conversation history to that business’s authorised agents.
• To keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Meta, which transmits the messages.
• The business you are messaging.
• Our hosting providers.
• Authorities, when required by law.

How long we keep it

Conversations are stored on secured servers in the European Union (Bulgaria) while the business’s account is active, or until deletion is requested. When a business closes its account, we delete its conversation data within 30 days.

Deleting your data

To ask us to delete your chat-core data:

1. 1. Email info@aligned-tech.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
2. 2. Include the WhatsApp number you used and, if you know it, the business you contacted.
3. 3. We will confirm your request, delete your conversations and attachments within 30 days, and let you know when it’s done.

You can also contact the business directly, or block its number in WhatsApp to stop receiving its messages.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside Lebanon, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s contractual and security commitments to protect your information.

Cookies

The Website itself does not set advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart, and the embedded Google Map may set Google’s own cookies when it loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The Website will keep working without them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related correspondence for as long as we need them to respond and manage our relationship with you. We keep career applications for as long as needed to fill the role and to consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. After that, we delete or anonymise the information unless the law requires us to keep it.

How we protect it

The Website is served only over HTTPS, and access to submitted information is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Lebanon’s Law No. 81 of 2018, Qatar’s Law No. 13 of 2016 and the EU GDPR, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• have it corrected or deleted;
• object to or restrict how we use it;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it; and
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email info@aligned-tech.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on the request.

Children

The Website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Other websites

The Website links to third-party sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If you have questions, please contact us.
